New Delhi, March 23 Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu said on Monday that India has emerged as a "reliable partner" in the global supply chain and innovation ecosystems.

Addressing the 26th edition of IndiaSoft at Bharat Mandapam on the theme of 'Business Beyond Boundaries', Sandhu said that India is moving from being a participant to a "shaper" of globalization.

According to the official statement, Sandhu said that today's boundaries extend beyond geography and include regulatory frameworks, data governance, supply chain vulnerabilities, and geopolitical considerations.

"The idea of 'Business Beyond Boundaries' is not about ignoring these constraints. It is about understanding them, navigating them, and, where possible, aligning across them," he said.

Highlighting shifts in globalization, the Lieutenant Governor, in the official statement, said that recent disruptions, including the COVID-19 pandemic, have exposed the fragility of centralized supply chains, prompting a move towards resilience and diversification.

Emphasizing technology's role, Sandhu said that digital platforms have enabled businesses to transcend traditional barriers, while also bringing responsibilities around data protection and cybersecurity.

Sandhu underlined the growing role of MSMEs and startups in global trade and called for improved access to finance, simpler export procedures, and stronger skills.

He added that trust, transparency, and sustainability are becoming central to global business.

"Ultimately, the future of global business will not be defined by the absence of boundaries, but by how effectively we transform them… They are not barriers to overcome, but bridges to build," Sandhu said.
