Navratri Boosts Devotee Numbers at Vaishno Devi Shrine.webp

In Jammu and Kashmir, the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is experiencing a significant increase in the number of pilgrims visiting during the ongoing Navratri festival. Over 200,000 devotees have paid their respects in the first six days. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that the pilgrimage is proceeding smoothly despite the heavy crowds, with comprehensive arrangements in place to manage the continuous flow of pilgrims. The base camp at Katra and the path leading to the Bhawan remain crowded throughout the day and night. The Shrine Board has enhanced facilities, including security, crowd management, sanitation, and medical services, to ensure a safe and comfortable pilgrimage for all visitors. Additional staff and security personnel have been deployed to handle the increased influx. Authorities have urged devotees to follow guidelines and cooperate with officials to ensure smooth movement along the pilgrimage route. The large turnout reflects the strong faith among devotees during Navratri, and it is expected that the numbers will continue to increase in the coming days.
