NCC Conference Aims to Align with 'Viksit Bharat' Vision.webp

March 12, New Delhi — The two-day conference of the Additional Directors General (ADGs) and Deputy Directors General (DDGs) of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) commenced at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi on March 12, 2026. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh addressed the opening session of the conference.

In his address, the Defence Secretary emphasized the importance of transforming the NCC in line with the vision of "Viksit Bharat" by 2047. He also commended the NCC's significant contribution to various social outreach programs conducted across the country.

During interactions with the ADGs and DDGs of all NCC Directorates, Rajesh Kumar Singh called for synergistic efforts aligned with Central Government policies and initiatives, noting that such coordination would help the organization achieve its goals and objectives more effectively.

Director General (NCC) Virendra Vats highlighted initiatives undertaken over the past year to expand the NCC and improve infrastructure and logistical support. Key issues discussed included training quality, infrastructure development, and emerging domains such as drone and cyber training.

The conference provides a platform for senior NCC leadership to deliberate on key policy issues, share best practices, and chart a roadmap for further strengthening the organization and its training framework in the years ahead.
