February 27, New Delhi – Ukraine and the United States have concluded their talks, with preparations now underway for the next round of negotiations.
Ukraine's chief negotiator, Rustem Umerov, stated that the objective is to make the next trilateral meeting involving the United States and Russia "as substantive as possible." He added that particular attention during the latest meetings was devoted to Ukraine's economic track and long-term support mechanisms.
Separately, Russia's presidential special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, also held talks with U.S. representatives in Geneva. However, he declined to comment on the results of the negotiations with the United States.
Following the bilateral talks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that trilateral talks are likely to take place in Abu Dhabi in early March. The talks would aim to pave the way for a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia.
