In Nepal, 17 people, including two foreigners, died in a bus accident near Charaundi in the Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality of Dhading, along the Prithvi Highway, early this morning. The bus, traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, had plunged into the Trishuli River. It has been reported that among the two foreign nationals who died in the accident, one is a man and the other is a woman. There were a total of 44 passengers on the bus. 26 injured were rescued and taken to various hospitals. Some of the injured are being treated in local hospitals, while most have been transported to Kathmandu. The rescue operation was completed at the accident site with the help of personnel from all three security agencies, along with local residents.
