Kathmandu, March 13 Nepal will no longer issue visas on arrival to Iranian nationals, the Immigration Department said on Friday.
In a notice, the department stated that Iranian nationals, except those with government or diplomatic passports, will only be allowed to enter the Himalayan nation after obtaining a visa from a Nepalese embassy abroad.
This brings the number of countries ineligible for on-arrival visas to Nepal to 13.
Similarly, those holding a travel document with refugee status will only be allowed to enter Nepal after obtaining visas from a Nepalese embassy abroad, according to an official at the Department of Immigration.
