April 08, New Delhi: Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the country supports U.S. President Trump's decision to suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks, but clarified that the ceasefire does not extend to Lebanon.
Netanyahu's office added that Israel backs the U.S. move on the condition that Tehran immediately reopens the straits and halts attacks against the United States, Israel, and regional countries.
Israel also expressed support for Washington's efforts to ensure that Iran no longer poses nuclear, missile, or "terror" threats to the U.S., Israel, and Arab neighbors, noting that the U.S. has assured Israel of their commitment to their shared goals in upcoming negotiations.
