New Delhi, March 31 The city recorded a minimum temperature of 19.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, with the weather office predicting light rain.

The maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius.

Isolated rainfall was recorded in various parts of the city since Monday, with the cumulative rainfall over 24 hours up to 8:30 am standing at 0.5 mm at Safdarjung, 0.2 mm at Palam, 0.7 mm at Lodhi Road, 0.2 mm at Ridge, and 0.6 mm at Ayanagar.

Data from individual stations showed that the minimum temperature at Palam was 19.6 degrees Celsius, the highest among the stations, about 1.9 degrees above normal.

Lodhi Road recorded a minimum of 18 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees above normal, while the Ridge station recorded 18.4 degrees Celsius, 1.2 degrees below normal. Ayanagar recorded a minimum of 18.6 degrees Celsius, 0.4 degrees above normal.

Regarding air quality, the AQI stood at 189 in the 'moderate' category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to CPCB standards, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.
