April 6th, Aizawl: Mr. Sharad Agarwal, IPS, Director General of Police (DGP) of Mizoram, inaugurated 15 Ather electric scooters at 11:00 a.m. today at the premises of the Police Headquarters.
The scooters, procured under the Police Modernization scheme, are intended for use by various police stations and the Aizawl Traffic Police. Speaking on the occasion, the DGP stated that these electric scooters were specifically purchased to enhance women's safety and to ensure greater peace and security within the community. He urged the receiving units to effectively utilize the vehicles for patrolling and maintaining public order.
