New ERSS System Aims to Improve District Emergency Response

New ERSS System Aims to Improve District Emergency Response.webp

As part of an effort to improve emergency response services in the district, ERSS (Emergency Response Support System) vehicles were officially launched today from the District Police Lines for deployment at seven police stations. SSP Paramveer Singh inaugurated the vehicles in the presence of other police officials.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Paramveer Singh stated that these vehicles would enable the police to quickly reach people during disasters, accidents, or any other emergency situations. He also informed that residents only need to dial 112 in case of any problem. Once the call is registered through the ERSS system, the nearest police station vehicle will receive the alert and immediately proceed to the location.

He further stated that the primary objective of this system is to provide timely assistance and security to the general public, ensuring rapid relief during emergencies.

This initiative is expected to strengthen the district's emergency response mechanism and enhance the sense of safety and confidence among the public.
