
March 12, Kohima: Former Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, will be sworn in as the 23rd Governor of Nagaland tomorrow.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Dr. Imkongliba Memorial Hall in Lok Bhavan, Kohima.
Born in 1953, the 72-year-old leader has over 45 years of experience in public life, having risen from local governance to become one of the most senior legislative figures in Bihar.
During his political career, Mr. Yadav held several key positions under governments led by Nitish Kumar, including Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Tourism, among other portfolios.
Nand Kishore Yadav was appointed as Governor of Nagaland on March 5 and will formally assume office following the swearing-in ceremony in Kohima tomorrow.
Governor of Manipur, Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhalla, has been holding the additional charge of the Governor of Nagaland since August 25, 2025.
