The dream of a greenfield airport in Kota is finally coming true. The Kota - Bundi Green Field Airport will be inaugurated today. The airport, which has been built at a cost of ₹1,507 crore, will significantly improve air connectivity in the region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the keynote speaker at the event. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu will also be present during the bhoomi pujan and inauguration ceremony. The Rajasthan government has also handed over 440.06 hectares of land for the development of the Greenfield Airport, which will be suitable for operating aircraft of the A 321 series. The project includes the construction of a terminal building in a 20,000 square meter area, which will be able to handle 1,000 passengers during peak hours.
