
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 16: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary announced that the new, modern Jammu Assembly Complex is expected to be completed by October 2027, ahead of the 2028 Budget Session.
During an inspection of the multi-storeyed complex under construction, he reviewed the progress and quality of work, directing officers and contractors to ensure timely completion without compromising on standards.
The Assembly Complex is designed with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a 130-seat Assembly Hall, Press and Guest Galleries for over 450 visitors, offices for dignitaries, parking, canteens, and a 10-bedded Health & Wellness Centre. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized strengthening the seating capacity and facilities to meet future needs.
Officials from PWD Jammu briefed him on the progress, layouts, and functional arrangements across the basements, ground floor, and first floor.
