He inaugurated the newly constructed critical care block with a capacity of 50 beds and state-of-the-art facilities at a cost of ₹23.75 crore in the campus of the medical college in Nagar Kurnool district, and the primary health center in Telakapalli mandal at a cost of ₹1.59 crore. On this occasion, the minister also said that efforts are being made to set up chemotherapy centers in each district headquarters to provide cancer treatment.
