Katra, February 18: To boost pilgrimage tourism near the revered Mata Vaishno Devi, Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone for a new Shankaracharya Temple in Katra. This project, being developed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, will include improved access roads, public amenities, and commercial spaces for locals, with the aim of enhancing both the spiritual experience and local livelihoods.
