Multipurpose Sports Complex opens for registration in Dibrugarh
Dibrugarh, February 26: The state-of-the-art multi-purpose Sports Complex at Khanikar, Dibrugarh, was inaugurated in January, marking a major boost to Assam's sports infrastructure.
The facility, inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has been described as a significant gift to the sports fraternity of Assam. The complex is part of the state's rapid development initiatives.
Equipped with facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, the complex is now fully prepared to provide professional training. The registration process began on February 22, while admissions for indoor games such as badminton and table tennis will start from March 2.
So far, more than 70 athletes from Guwahati, Silchar, and neighboring Arunachal Pradesh have enrolled in various sports disciplines. Authorities have also released a dedicated contact number – 7002028643 – for registrations.
