NFR installs sanitary pad vending machines at Guwahati Railway station
To mark International Women's Day, the Northeast Frontier Railway installed menstrual hygiene vending machines at Guwahati Railway Station for the convenience of female passengers.
The machines were inaugurated by Shalini Srivastava, President of the Northeast Frontier Railway Women's Welfare Organisation. Four vending machines have been installed at Guwahati Railway Station, while two additional machines were installed at Kamakhya Railway Station.
The initiative aims to ensure better menstrual hygiene facilities for female travelers. Northeast Frontier Railway General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava was also present at the inauguration ceremony.
