
Patna, March 11 Nishant Kumar, son of JD(U) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, described the party as a family on Wednesday, stating that its members would collectively work to serve the people.
The engineering graduate, in his late 40s, joined the party on Sunday in the presence of top leaders, including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lalan’ and JD(U) national working president Sanjay Jha.
Speaking to reporters here, Nishant Kumar said, "I want to take the party as a family unit. The legislators and workers associated with JD(U) are all members of one family."
He visited the party headquarters for the first time after being formally inducted and held a meeting with MLAs and party workers.
"We will collectively strive to serve the people of Bihar," he added.
