Nishant Kumar Plans Statewide Tour of Bihar.webp

Patna/Bhabua, March 9 A day after formally joining the JD(U), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son, Nishant Kumar, said on Monday that he will embark on a statewide tour of all 38 districts of the state in the coming days.

Speaking to reporters after garlanded the statue of his mother, Manju Sinha, at a park named after her here, Nishant said he would soon decide on the proposed tour.

"I am planning to tour across the 38 districts of Bihar and will soon take a decision on this front," he said.

Nishant was inducted into the party on Sunday, days after Nitish Kumar filed his nomination papers for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

Asked about Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav wishing him after his induction into the party, Nishant said, "That is a good thing. I accept that."

Reacting to Nishant's entry into active politics, Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor told reporters in Bhabhua, "JD(U) is the party of his father, and if he is beginning his political career, he has our best wishes. The decision to enter politics is his personal choice."

"Leaders in Bihar have prepared the throne of power for their own children, while for the children of ordinary people, they have created a system of illiteracy, unemployment, and migration," Kishor said.
