
Supaul/Madhepura, March 10 Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched development projects and schemes worth around Rs 872 crore in the Supaul and Samstipur districts during his 'Samridhi Yatra' (Development Journey).
The CM also reviewed ongoing schemes and development projects in the districts.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office, "The CM launched 213 schemes and projects worth Rs 570 crore in Supaul district. These included the inauguration of 129 schemes worth Rs 135 crore and the foundation laying of 84 projects worth Rs 335 crore."
The CM also inspected the renovation of the Nirmali Ring Embankment (Sipahi Chowk) in the Nirmali block.
Kumar said, "Once the renovation of the Nirmali Ring Embankment is completed, the town will be free from floods."
Later, the CM launched development projects and schemes worth Rs 302 crore in Madhepura district.
"Kumar inaugurated 158 schemes worth Rs 216 crore and laid the foundation stone for 137 schemes worth Rs 86 crore in Madhepura. He also inaugurated the administrative and residential buildings of the Madhepura police line," the statement added.
Others present on the occasion included Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Leshi Singh, MLC Lalan Sarraf, and other senior officials of the state government.
