Noida, March 24 With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to inaugurate the Noida International Airport on March 28, District Magistrate Medha Roopam reviewed preparations at the venue in Jewar on Tuesday, focusing on security, logistics, and public convenience.

During her inspection, the district magistrate assessed arrangements related to the stage, rally ground, parking facilities, and movement protocols for the public, VIPs, and VVIPs, according to an official statement.

She also examined security deployment and traffic management plans to ensure the smooth conduct of the high-profile event, it stated.

Roopam directed officials to complete all arrangements within the stipulated timeframe, keeping in mind the convenience of attendees.

She stressed the need for adequate sanitation, drinking water, restroom facilities, and proper lighting at the venue.

The district magistrate also instructed concerned departments to install clear signage at parking areas, entry and exit points, and along major routes. She further emphasised the importance of robust CCTV surveillance and foolproof security arrangements, according to the statement.

Highlighting the need for coordinated efforts, Roopam said all departments must work in close coordination to ensure the programme is conducted in a smooth, well-organized, and dignified manner, it added.

The first phase of the Noida International Airport is scheduled to be inaugurated on March 28. The greenfield project is located in the Jewar area of the district, about 75 km from Delhi.

The airport is aimed to decongest air traffic at the Delhi airport and serve as a major connectivity hub in the national capital region.

The airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of the Swiss firm Zurich Airport International AG, in a public-private partnership model for the Uttar Pradesh government.
