Imphal, March 14 A four-year-old boy was killed and his father injured in a bomb blast in the Noney district of Manipur on Saturday, police said.
The incident occurred in the Taolingpung village in Khoupum when the toddler and his father were clearing bushes outside their house, they said.
The bomb, which was hidden in the bushes, exploded when they accidentally struck it, police said.
The father, who is 40 years old, is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Imphal, which is about 95 km from their village, they said.
A case has been registered, and an investigation has begun to determine the origin of the bomb, police said.
