Northeast Frontier Railway Stations Earn ‘Eat Right Station’ Certification.webp

The Dimapur Railway Station, under the Northeast Frontier Railway, has been awarded the prestigious "Eat Right Station" certification by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). This marks a significant achievement in ensuring safe and hygienic food for passengers. The recognition was awarded after a thorough audit of food stalls, catering units, and food handlers at the station to ensure compliance with strict food safety standards, hygienic food preparation, safe storage practices, proper waste management, and the availability of nutritious food options for passengers.

In another achievement, four stations under the Alipurduar Division of Northeast Frontier Railway have also received the "Eat Right Station" certification from FSSAI for meeting the prescribed food safety and hygiene benchmarks. These include the Alipurduar Railway Station, the Kokrajhar Railway Station, the Golakganj Railway Station, and the New Mal Junction Railway Station. This certification reflects the coordinated efforts of railway officials, health inspectors, catering units, authorized vendors, and station management teams in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
