March 23, New Delhi: In the Lok Sabha, Sikkim MP Indra Hang Subba highlighted the transformative development in Sikkim and the Northeast under PM Narendra Modi. He noted that improved connectivity, better governance, and landmark infrastructure projects like the Pakyong Airport have reshaped the region, turning previously isolated areas into accessible, opportunity-rich zones.
Subba emphasised the Centre's sustained push for Northeast development, citing enhanced infrastructure, growing tourism, and economic expansion as key drivers bringing the region closer to the national mainstream.
He added that balanced regional growth, strengthened governance, and the spirit of 'Seva' continue to unlock new potential, ensuring no part of Sikkim or the Northeast is left behind.
