The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Northern Command, Pratik Sharma, visited the Kishtwar sector to assess operational readiness and the overall security situation in the area.
During the visit, the Army Commander held detailed discussions with commanders in the command chain and interacted with troops deployed in forward areas. He was briefed on the current security situation and ongoing operational measures.
Lt Gen Sharma praised the sustained efforts, professionalism, and resolute conduct of the troops, particularly in challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions.
He also urged the forces to maintain operational momentum and ensure seamless coordination with other security agencies to maintain peace and stability in the region.
