In a significant move to address the increasing passenger demand, the Jammu Division of Northern Railways has announced the addition of extra coaches to two prominent trains – the Jammu Rajdhani and the Kolkata Express. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that this decision, aimed at ensuring passenger comfort during the upcoming festive season, will provide immediate relief to passengers on waiting lists and in general-class compartments. According to a railway spokesperson, an additional Third AC coach will be added to Train No. 12425/12426 New Delhi-Jammu-New Delhi Rajdhani Express on February 21 and 22. Furthermore, a general-class coach has been added to the long-distance Train No. 13152/13151 Jammu Tawi-Kolkata-Jammu Tawi Express, with this arrangement effective from February 21 to March 1. This decision has been taken in anticipation of the upcoming festivals to reduce overcrowding and provide a more comfortable journey for passengers. The railway authorities have encouraged passengers to take advantage of these additional facilities for a smoother travel experience.
