April 09, New Delhi – Spanish food-tech startup Novameat is expanding into blended meat, aiming to supply plant-based ingredients to meat processors rather than solely focusing on fully vegan products.
The Barcelona-based company says its "balanced protein" ingredient is being tested with meat processors in Europe before a wider industrial rollout planned for later in 2026. The product is designed to replace part of the meat in products such as burgers, meatballs, and mince, allowing manufacturers to reduce the proportion of animal protein while using existing production lines.
