
March 13, Kohima: The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has forecast unstable weather conditions across the state until March 16, with scattered thunderstorms, lightning, and rainfall expected.
In its latest weather update, NSDMA said that districts including Dimapur, Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Peren, Phek, Tuensang, Wokha, and Zunheboto are likely to experience localized thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall during the period.
Heavy rainfall is forecast at several locations in Longleng, Mokokchung, and Wokha on March 14, while intermittent light to moderate rainfall may affect Kohima, Mokokchung, Mon, Noklak, Peren, and Tuensang.
NSDMA has urged the public to remain cautious and advised concerned authorities to stay on high alert. For emergencies, citizens may contact the State Emergency Operation Centre at the toll-free number 1070.
