Chennai, March 23 Declaring that the NTK's decision to enter the electoral arena is a strategy in itself, party chief Seeman launched his election campaign here on Monday.
Responding to a reporter's query about the strategy his party would employ in the upcoming polls, Seeman said, "Our party contesting itself is a strategy. You will see."
Speaking to the press before commencing his campaign, Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) leader also commented on the prevailing social conditions and the occurrence of crimes, particularly in light of the expected verdict in the Sathankulam case. "We have to wait and see what action will be taken based on the verdict," he stated.
Expressing deep concern over a shift in societal attitudes towards wrongdoing, Seeman noted that people were once afraid to make mistakes. "Today, when everyone makes a mistake together, it seems to be viewed as correct. There is a great fear that society has turned into a criminal society," he remarked.
Referring specifically to incidents of custodial deaths, he sharply questioned the state of law enforcement. "If the police officer himself is a murderer, then what can be done? We have to fix this. That is why we are doing all this work," he added.
