April 10, Kohima: Advisor for Industries and Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu, today urged young people to take advantage of opportunities in emerging technologies, stating that technology remains the driving force of the global industry.
She was speaking at the inauguration of the extension of the Centre of Excellence Industry 4.0 - SRUJAN at the Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC) in Dimapur.
She said that the facility, established under a CSR initiative by Bharat Forge with support from SimuSoft Technologies, remains the only Industry 4.0 Centre of Excellence in the Northeast.
Ms. Jakhalu reiterated the state government's commitment to developing the NTTC into a one-stop hub for technological learning, equipping young people with the skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship.
She urged young people to utilize these opportunities to secure their livelihoods and contribute to the state's economic growth.
Earlier, the Advisor also inaugurated modernized classrooms and a 50-kilowatt KW hybrid solar panel infrastructure.
