
March 17, New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu was the chief guest at the Akshaya Patra Foundation's event commemorating the milestone of 5 billion meals served and 25 years of service at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on Tuesday.
The event focused on promoting children's education and health, highlighting the impact of the Foundation's initiatives. The President interacted personally with children and served meals, emphasizing the importance of nutrition in their development.
In her address, President Murmu emphasized the role of nutrition and education in shaping a developed India by 2047 and paid tribute to A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada for his vision of a hunger-free society.
