April 1, New Delhi: Oil prices edged up in early Wednesday trading, with Brent front-month futures extending a record rally from March, as volatility in the Middle East kept markets on edge, despite reports that the U.S. and Iran may be nearing a negotiated end to the conflict.
Brent crude futures rose by 1.1% to $105.16 per barrel, retracing some of the previous day's decline. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for May rose by 0.95% to $102.34 per barrel, while WTI futures for June rose by 46 cents or 0.49% to $93.62 per barrel.
