
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated and laid foundation stones of major development projects in Ganderbal worth ₹84.41 crore to strengthen infrastructure, healthcare, roads, water supply and services
February 24, Ganderbal: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today laid foundation stones and inaugurated several key development projects in Ganderbal, involving a total investment of ₹84.41 crore. The projects are aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure, healthcare facilities, water supply systems, road connectivity and overall public service delivery in the constituency.
Addressing a gathering, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive and sustainable development across Jammu and Kashmir. He said the projects reflect a focused approach towards improving basic infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life of the people of Ganderbal.
The initiatives include upgrading healthcare institutions, augmenting drinking water supply schemes, improving road networks and strengthening civic amenities to cater to the growing needs of the population. The Chief Minister directed concerned departments to ensure timely completion of the projects while maintaining high standards of quality and transparency.
Later, at Dak Bungalow Fatehpora, the Chief Minister distributed certificates among beneficiaries under Mission YUVA, reaffirming the government’s commitment to youth empowerment and self-employment initiatives.
Interacting with the beneficiaries, he encouraged young entrepreneurs to actively participate in government-sponsored schemes promoting innovation, skill development and sustainable livelihood opportunities, describing youth empowerment as vital for strengthening the region’s socio-economic fabric.
Senior officials, public representatives and members of the local community were present on the occasion.
