JAMMU, APRIL 07: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress of the new High Court complexes in Srinagar and Jammu, emphasizing the need for their swift and timely completion.

He directed all departments and executing agencies to expedite the projects and ensure better coordination. The Chief Minister also called for early administrative approval for the proposed Jammu wing at Raika, which is planned as a modern, integrated judicial complex.

The project, being undertaken by National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC), involves relocating the existing High Court from Janipur to a new campus at Raika, which will be equipped with modern courtrooms, chambers, administrative blocks, and digital facilities.

Omar Abdullah also reviewed plans for the redevelopment of the Lower Court Complex in Srinagar to upgrade judicial infrastructure in Kashmir.

Emphasizing quality, transparency, and adherence to timelines, he called for regular monitoring and quick resolution of any issues, reaffirming the government's commitment to strengthening judicial infrastructure and improving justice delivery across Jammu and Kashmir.
