
In Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah presented 13 demands and 19 supplementary demands in the Legislative Assembly today. These were subsequently presented to the House for discussion by Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that these demands for grants relate to the General Administration Department, Planning, Monitoring and Development, Information, Power, Finance, Parliamentary Affairs, Law & Justice, Revenue, Housing, Tourism, Hospitality & Protocol, Estates, Culture, and Disaster Management. The Chief Minister is in charge of these departments. The discussion on the demands for grants will continue on February 18 and 19, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will respond to the demands for grants on the afternoon of February 19, followed by a voice vote to pass the demands.
