Opposition Demands Discussion as Lok Sabha Suspended.webp

New Delhi, March 30 The Lok Sabha session was adjourned until 12:30 pm following protests by opposition members demanding a discussion on the West Asia crisis.

The issue came up as soon as Zero Hour began at 12 noon, with Congress leader Manish Tewari stating that a discussion on West Asia was necessary.

After the papers for the day were presented in the House, the opposition members reiterated their demand.

In response, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju told the protesting members that the government was ready to talk with them. He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already made a statement on the West Asia crisis in both Houses.

"When there is a crisis, everyone comes together, and there is no politics," Rijiju said, assuring the opposition that the government would work together with them.

As the uproar continued, Speaker Om Birla adjourned the proceedings until 12:30 pm.
