
New Delhi, March 26 Traffic movement in certain parts of central Delhi will be affected on Thursday evening due to the 'Shobha Yatra' (procession) being organized in the Paharganj area to celebrate Ram Navami, police said.
Around 300 devotees are expected to participate in the procession, which will pass through Nehru Bazar Road, Chelmsford Road, Rajguru Road, Chuna Mandi, and connecting stretches between 5 pm and 11 pm, according to a traffic police advisory.
Congestion and slow vehicular movement are likely in and around these areas, officials stated.
Commuters are advised to avoid the Paharganj market area and Chelmsford Road during the scheduled hours to avoid delays and to seek alternative routes.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes such as Minto Road, Ajmeri Gate, and Desh Bandhu Gupta (DBG) Road.
The police have urged the public to follow traffic rules, adhere to signage, and cooperate with personnel deployed on duty to ensure smooth movement and safety during the event.
