February 23, New Delhi – India has strongly condemned Pakistan's airstrikes on Afghanistan, which resulted in civilian casualties during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said the airstrikes are another attempt by Pakistan to externalize its internal failures.
India also reiterated its support for Afghanistan's sovereignty.
Afghanistan has vowed to retaliate after Pakistani strikes killed at least 18 people, including women and children. The country called the attacks a blatant violation of its sovereignty. The overnight strikes were the most extensive since border clashes in October last year.
