
Peshawar, March 31 At least nine people were killed and three others were injured on Tuesday in a landslide during mining operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, officials said.
The incident occurred in the Rustam area of Mardan district.
According to Rescue 1122 authorities, a section of the mountain collapsed while mining work was in progress, trapping several people under the debris.
Rescue teams launched an immediate operation and recovered nine bodies, while three injured people were pulled out alive from the rubble.
The injured were provided initial medical assistance at the scene before being transferred to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Officials said that relief and search operations have been completed at the site.
