Pakur (Jharkhand), March 30 A lawyer was arrested in Jharkhand's Pakur district on Monday on the charge of sexually assaulting a law student for several months.
The police arrested the lawyer after the victim, who was pursuing an LLB degree, filed a complaint with the Pakur town police station against him on Sunday.
The victim had come into contact with the accused about seven months ago when he persuaded her to help her with her studies.
The victim, who is married, had visited Murmu's house to seek advice regarding her course when Murmu allegedly sexually assaulted her and recorded it on video, according to the complaint.
He continued to sexually assault her for seven months, threatening to make the video public if she did not comply with him or disclose the matter to anyone.
The victim filed a case with the police on Sunday.
