
Assam CM campaigns in Palashbari, announces job and welfare boost
Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed an election rally in the Palashbari Assembly constituency of Kamrup district in support of BJP candidate Himangshu Shekhar Baishya.
The rally was held at the playground of Rampur Higher Secondary School, where the Chief Minister urged voters to ensure a decisive victory for the NDA alliance candidate in the upcoming Assembly elections.
During his address, Sarma announced that if the BJP returns to power, around 2 lakh government jobs would be provided to the youth. This would include the recruitment of 75,000 teachers, 25,000 police personnel, and 1 lakh positions comprising doctors, nurses, engineers, junior engineers, clerks, and mandals.
He further announced that an additional 10,000 women in the Palashbari constituency would be brought under the Orunodoi scheme in the coming days.
Earlier in the day, the CM campaigned for Bhupen Roy in Abhayapuri, Pabitra Rabha in West Goalpara, Tankeswar Rabha in Dudhnoi, and Raju Mech in Boko-Chaygaon.
He also announced that a case would be filed against Congress leader Pawan Khera for providing false information.
