
Palghar, February 19 As many as 12 million trees will be planted in the Palghar district of Maharashtra, according to Forest Minister and district guardian minister Ganesh Naik, who announced this on Thursday.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Global Konkan Festival and the Palghar Mini Saras Exhibition in Shirgaon.
In addition to large-scale tree planting, the government is also adopting high-tech solutions to protect and increase the green cover in the state, he said.
The BJP leader also stated that mega-projects such as the Vadhavan Port, Bullet Train, and Samruddhi Highway will transform the district into an infrastructure hub.
