New Delhi, April 2 The Rajya Sabha was adjourned on Thursday to reconvene on April 16, and may consider a bill to increase seats in the Lok Sabha to implement reservation for women in the legislature.
The House, which was scheduled to be adjourned sine die on Thursday, will now reconvene at 11 am on Thursday, April 16.
This announcement was made by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh before adjourning the proceedings.
According to the schedule announced for the Budget Session of Parliament, which began on January 28, both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha were to be adjourned sine die on April 2 (Thursday).
