Mumbai, April 8: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde on Wednesday instructed the party's MLAs, MPs, chief coordinators, co-coordinators, and Lok Sabha coordinators to reach out to grassroots Shiv Sainiks, work promptly on public issues, and actively contribute to the party's growth.
He further instructed them to focus on party expansion, as the elections are now over.
He warned office bearers that if visible work is not done, they will not retain their positions. Instructions were given to appoint booth-level agents (BLAs) for a detailed review of voter lists.
Recently, Shiv Sena appointed chief coordinators, divisional coordinators, and Lok Sabha coordinators. A crucial online review and guidance meeting of these office bearers was held today in the presence of Shinde.
During the meeting, he directed ministers, MLAs, and MPs to set aside their positions and work as party workers.
Taking into account the constituency restructuring, Shinde provided a roadmap to contact heads regarding upcoming local self-government, Assembly, and Lok Sabha elections.
He clearly stated that Lok Sabha coordinators must hold separate meetings for each Assembly segment in their area and send daily reports along with photographs, which he will personally review.
Regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign implemented by the Election Commission in the state, Shinde asked chief coordinators how many block-level agents (BLAs) have been appointed so far, how many times they have visited their constituencies, and how many meetings have been conducted.
He issued a strong warning that those who fail to submit work reports or do not perform will be directly removed from their posts.
Keeping in mind the division of constituencies, he instructed that each should appoint two BLAs for a thorough review of voter lists and hold daily meetings with them.
He also emphasised that every office bearer must work with greater energy in their respective areas to make the party organisation stronger and more effective.
He instructed to conduct constituency visits and hold meetings, thoroughly review voter lists, appoint two BLAs for the SIR campaign, hold daily meetings with BLAs, and directed Lok Sabha coordinators to hold separate meetings for each Assembly segment.
