Mumbai, April 4 Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff paid tribute to the late actress Parveen Babi on her 72nd birth anniversary by posting on social media.

He shared nostalgic photos of the actress from her younger days.

Sharing a collage of her photos, Jackie posted a black and white throwback image from her prime years.

The photos captured her striking features and timeless screen presence. The post also included the message, "Parveen Babi ji – Always in our hearts," along with her birth and death dates.

Adding to the nostalgia, Jackie Shroff also used the song "Pyar Karnewale" from the film Shaan as the background music, which was originally featured in the film.

Parveen Babi was known as one of the most popular and glamorous actresses of the 1970s and 1980s.

Parveen Babi was also known for redefining the image of the modern Hindi film heroine, and starred in many successful films including Deewaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Shaan, Namak Halaal, Kaala Patthar, Suhaag, among others.

During her career, Parveen Babi shared screen space with leading stars of the era - Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Dharmendra, and others. Her last film appearance was in Iraada.

On a personal level, Parveen Babi's life was reportedly marked by challenges. She was reportedly in relationships with actor Kabir Bedi, Danny Denzongpa, and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.

In her later years, she struggled with mental health issues and was reported to have suffered from paranoid schizophrenia.

Parveen Babi spent her final years in isolation and passed away on January 20, 2005, at her residence in Mumbai.
