
Patna, March 11 Bihar Police arrested a criminal on Wednesday following a brief exchange of fire in the Fatuha area of Patna, officials said.
The identity of the arrested individual is still being determined. Police recovered a locally made pistol and 1,200 live cartridges from his possession.
Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma told reporters, "The incident took place in Fatuha in the evening. The local police station received information that some criminals were planning a crime and had set up a trap. Upon noticing the police team, the criminals opened fire. The police responded with controlled firing and apprehended one of the criminals."
He said the criminal sustained a bullet injury in his leg and is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital.
