The Karbi Youth Festival concludes in Diphu
In Assam, the five-day 52nd Karbi Youth Festival concluded on Thursday night in Taralangso, Diphu, in the Karbi Anglong district. The festival began on February 15 and concluded with a grand cultural program.
The closing ceremony featured musical performances by winners of the singing reality show Indian Idol Season 12, Pawandeep Rajan, Bhrigu Kashyap, and the Uzbek band, Havas Guruhi. The performances kept the audience entertained throughout the night.
Speaking to reporters before his performance, Pawandeep Rajan said he was happy to visit Assam. He also sang a song by the legendary Assamese singer, Zubeen Garg, calling him his inspiration.
Local artist, Bhrigu Kashyap, expressed his excitement about performing in his hometown and praised the efforts of the Karbi Cultural Society and the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council for taking the festival towards international recognition.
