Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu stated today that the NDA government is committed to upholding the ideals of social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. On the occasion of Phule's birth anniversary, the minister paid floral tributes to his statue in the town of Srikakulam. He said that Phule's ideas have been guiding society for over two centuries and that he was not limited to any one region or country.
Mr. Rammohan Naidu emphasized that Phule's efforts towards social equality and his focus on education for marginalized communities remain highly relevant. He also highlighted Phule's pioneering contribution to women's education, noting that he established schools for girls during a time when it was rare.
