
Itanagar, March 28 Four people were killed and three others were injured after a pickup truck fell into a gorge in the remote Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday, police said.
The accident occurred between Yakung village and Bara Kundan in the Kibithoo circle, they said.
Anjaw Deputy Commissioner Millo Kojin identified the deceased as Bijay Urang (41), Anu Urang (38), Ayush Urang (5), and Meena Mura (35).
The three injured were evacuated to the Army Hospital in Walong, and subsequently referred to Dibrugarh in Assam for treatment, he said.
All four bodies have been recovered and brought to the BRTF Camp in Walong, as some of the deceased were General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) labourers, officials said.
State Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul expressed deep grief over the incident.
