The government has approved 52 new applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the textile industry, which is the third phase. According to the Ministry of Textiles, these applicants have committed to investing 6,708 crore rupees, which is expected to generate an estimated revenue of 21,186 crore rupees.

The approved proposals will provide significant boost to the textile sector, particularly in the areas of man-made fibers and technical textiles. These investments will enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities, promote innovation, and strengthen India's position in the global textile market.

The PLI scheme for the textile industry is a key initiative of the government aimed at promoting high-value textile production, attracting investment, and creating employment opportunities across the country.
